Citaat over verlangen...

Dit las ik van het weekeinde in het Nederlands Dagblad:
Het is een citaat uit het boek Gilead van Marilynne Robinson.

"Boughton zegt dat hij per dag meer ideeën over de hemel heeft. Hij zei: "Vooral omdat ik nadenk over de heerlijkheid van de wereld en die dan met twee vermenigvuldig. Als ik de kracht had, vermenigvuldigde ik ze met tien of twintig. Maar twee is voor mijn doel meer dan genoeg." Dus zo zit hij daar dan het voelen van de wind met twee te vermenigvuldigen, en de geur van het gras."
