Aliens helpen de mensheid!

En na de ernst van het vorige bericht iets luchtigers. Manon attendeerde me namelijk op een positief bericht. Eindelijk is er een beetje goed nieuws.
Een groep buitenaardse wezens is een hulpactie gestart voor de mensheid. Jazeker! Ze hebben hun handen ineen geslagen om de noodlijdende planeet Aarde uit het slop te halen. En in de goede traditie van internationale hulpacties hebben een paar bekende artiesten van Venus, Alfa Centauri en de Orionnevel een lied opgenomen, compleet met bijpassende videoclip. Kijk wat deze interplanetaire supersterren daartoe heeft bewogen en welke invloeden buitenaardsen al hebben gehad in onze geschiedenis. Je zult versteld staan!

(Dit zou mijn blog niet zijn als ik niet ook een serieuzere noot zou toevoegen: deze promotiecampagne is niet de enige keer dat gesuggereerd wordt dat de aliens er zijn om ons te helpen. Boeken over UFO's, hollywoodfilms als Close encounters of the third kind en ET, ze lijken allemaal te draaien om een erkenning: wij mensen kunnen het niet alleen, we maken een zootje van ons leven en onze planeet, we hebben iemand nodig van buiten om ons te redden. Laat die er nou ook zijn! Iemand die van buiten de dimensies van ons heelal zal komen om de wereld te vernieuwen. Toch zijn de buitenaardsen in deze films vaak vreemd, onbenaderbaar of angstwekkend. Ze zijn zo anders dan wij. Maar degene over wie ik het heb is geen alien. Hij heeft al onder ons gewoond en heeft in alles met ons meegeleden. Hij is tegelijk anders en hetzelfde. Op hem kunnen we vertrouwen zonder bang te hoeven zijn.

A group of alies has started a awareness event to help mankind. Yes! They have pulled together to help our suffering planet Earth on its feet again. We need someone from the outside to save us. Well, that person exists. Someone who will come from outside the universe to renew our world. But aliens in these movies are often strange, aloft or creepy. They're different than we are. But the one I write about is no alien. He has already lived among us and suffered with us in everything.
