Onlangs heeft Berend zich weer eens uitgeleefd met zijn mobiele telefoon (met fotocamera) en dat is een mooie gelegenheid voor mij om jullie mijn twee bakken te laten zien.

Some weeks ago my brother took a couple of pictures with his mobile phone, which gives me the opportunity to show you what I'm so enthusiastic about.]
Oké. Hier dan mijn grote aquarium (een Rio240 voor de kenners). De eerste foto is hoe hij eruitzag in maart. [So here's my large tank (Rio240 for the specialists). The first picture is my tank in March this year.]
De tweede is van een paar weken geleden (oktober). [The second is of two weeks ago, october.]
Zoals je ziet is de bak wat voller. Niet mijn schuld... De planten doen het gewoon erg goed. Sterker nog: op het moment van de foto had ik mijn planten heel aardig uitgedund. Je zou mijn aquarium nu moeten zien: een jungle. Helaas ook wat blauwe alg in het javamos, maar gelukkig niet erg veel. [You can see the tank has grown a bit fuller. Not my fault.... The plants are just doing very well. Can you imagine I had my brother take the picture after I topped off most of the plants. You should see the tank as it is now: a veritable jungle... Sadly a bit of bluegreen algae in my moss, but it's not very much, so that's a plus.]
Oh: en hier zijn de beruchte bijlzalmpjes. Zoals ik laatst schreef had ik een probleem met visziekten en daardoor zijn er twee van de zeven omgekomen. De overgebleven vijf (inclusief het oude, lang eenzame visje) doen het goed, zoals je ziet. [The next picture is of the hatchetfish I wrote about. There was a problem with sickness in the tank, so two fo the seven perished. But the other five are doing well, as you can see.]
Dan mijn tweede aquarium: Een Boyu40. Opnieuw de eerste foto van afgelopen maart. [My second tank is a Boyu40, again a picture of last March.]
En opnieuw de foto van twee weken geleden. [Again a picture of two weeks ago.]
Zoals je ziet doen mijn planten het goed, ik heb alleen wat last van draadalg, maar het is nog bij te houden.
Hmmm... Ik moe mijn aquaria maar eens gaan schoonmaken, en heel belangrijk: planten inkorten. [You can see the aquatic plants are doing well, but for a bit of threadalgae. I think I'll have to go clean my tanks now...]

Maar ik vind de nieuwe foto's niet helemaal gelukt. Mijn grote bak is iets te donker en mijn kleine bak heeft te veel reflectie.
Toch nog eens foto's maken met een betere camera (dan kan ik aan de wedstrijd meedoen).
